case study » study u.k. campaign
The British Council each year launches a campaign to recruit American students to study abroad in the United Kingdom. But many American students, the Council thought, perceived that British universities were fusty places focused on history and philosophy. To alter that view, the British Council wanted to reposition British universities as hip centers of high-tech programs. This campaign, developed at Meadows Design Office, included a brochure, posters to be put up on campuses, letterhead and pocket folder, a postcard, mailing stickers, and newspaper ads. Each element, including the brochure, picked up on the Council’s dotted logo.
The new-look campaign resulted in a substantial increase in the number of students visiting Study U.K. booths across U.S. campuses.
