project » awards dinner invitation/program

The challenge in this project was to pay homage to the history of graphic communication while promoting the appearance of keynote speaker Art Linkletter, all in a coordinated package of invitation and program.

The solution: use humor to play on Linkletter’s stint interviewing children on Kids Say the Darnedest Things. The invitation and program were designed in the style of flash cards, an old-style way that children learned vocabulary.

The result: Recognition from the Art Director’s Club of Metro D.C.

DELIVERABLES: Design, copywriting, print production/prepress.
